Safi School Project is a non-profit organization with the mission of empowering and improving the lives of young people in Tanzania through education. Safi is in its sixth year working with its model school in Arusha, TZ. With more funding we will help more schools.
The most positive effect we can have on the world is to give the gift of education.

A message from the Executive Director
URGENT NEED FOR SPONSORSThe primary focus of Safi School Project is to find sponsors for students. We work on other projects too, but we really need to build and maintain a sponsor stream. We are currently sponsoring students at Ngateu Secondary School in Arusha, Tanzania. We have established a goal of sponsoring 20 entering students (Form 1) as well as continuing our support for the established sponsored students (Forms 2-4). Right now we are short of sponsors to maintain this level and have to say no more students will be accepted for sponsorships until we have all established sponsorships covered. Four hundred dollars covers the cost of one year of schooling. The school is a 4 year school and not all students qualify for sponsorship. They must be good students and must have financial need.
Please help us to change this picture. There are qualified students without sponsorship who are at risk of ending their school years way too soon. If you believe, as we do, that education gives these children choices for their future, then let us know that you want to sponsor a student. You can do so by donating $400 via Pay Pal by clicking the donate tab on this page or send a check to Safi School Project, PO Box 8275, Lacey, WA 98509.
We need to reestablish a strong sponsorship support level in order to work on other projects, such as solar power and the computer lab. Sponsoring students is our foundational mission. The projects we have completed, such as building new classrooms, buying books, drilling a well all happened after the sponsorships were covered.
