Student at Ngateu

Scholarships

The goal of the Safi School Project is to make a measurable difference in the education of secondary school students. In Tanzania, most students who go on to secondary education must pay for school. Ngateu Secondary School is a community school in an area where education is valued, but the average annual income for a family of 6-8 is $200 US. Sponsors are needed to narrow the gap between what families can pay and what is needed.

A $400 sponsorship pays for tuition, uniform, books, supplies, exam fees and lunch for one student.

In Tanzania one quarter of one percent of the students who begin school ever make it to the university level. (To help you visualize this in US sizes, one tenth of one percent of people who play football ever makes it into the pros.)

With your help we can sponsor more students.

The most positive effect we can have on the world is to give the gift of education.
