The Safi School Project is a non-profit organization that improves and supports education in Tanzania, East Africa, one school at a time. Safi is in its sixth year working with its pilot school in Arusha, TZ. With more funding we will help more schools.
The most positive effect we can have on the world is to give the gift of education.

Measuring our Success
The goal of the Safi School Project is to make a measurable difference in the education of children in Tanzania. We do this by creating model schools that consider the needs of the whole school, its students, its teachers, its volunteers and its infrastructure. Already, we are seeing results. In two years, we have:
- Endowed 280 annual sponsorships since 2006.
- Funded a curriculum appropriate library so that students have textbooks available in all of their classes.
- Funded a kitchen and established a continuing lunch program.
- Designed and are in the process of implementing a well and upgraded sanitation.
- Upgraded classrooms and technology.
- Improved access to teacher training.
- Built a retaining wall.
